Greetings Future Club Members and Parents,

My name is Ms. Felicite Ross director/founder of Lisa's Book & Fitness Club. I would like to welcome you and your child to book & fitness club.

I would like to introduce myself, I’m a mother of three beautiful daughters’ ages 11, 19, and 21. Over the years, I have work as a head start assistant teacher, after school teacher and dental assistant. When I’m not working with children, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.

I’m currently in the last phrase of achieving my associate degree in Care and Development Young Children at Delgado Community College, New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2004, I graduated from The Edge Connection formerly known as Cobb Enterprise affiliated with Kennesaw State University. In 1998, I graduate from Dallas Community College in Dental Assisting. In 1989-92 I major in Elementary Education at Grambling State University, Grambling, Louisiana.

Over the years working with children, I realized today childhood experiences were more serious, dangerous from the ones that I dealt with as a child. I remember a group of my classmates tease me in elementary school by calling me "Monkey Girl". It was difficult being bullied in school, I couldn't understand why they chosen the word Monkey but I did understand girl. I knew monkeys were intelligent, happy, and playful creatures. And people around the world desire to see them up close in person because of the uniqueness.

Recently, I have discovered why children bully other children studying care and development of young children. There are several reasons: low self- esteem, social/emotional problems at home and other factors. I thank God for a great parent and family members who helped me get through those difficult years.

In our society today children are facing serious childhood issues such as childhood obesity, bullying, self- esteem, images of their sexuality. Today some our children are making the wrong decisions to resolve their problems like DEATH. I often wonder if they had someone to guide, nurture, or someone to talk outside their family would they have made DEATH as the final decision to their problem.

One of my reasons for creating Lisa’s Book/Fitness Club is to teach young girls solutions dealing with these classic childhood experiences. And help them build a strong mind, healthy body, awesome spirit to grow up to be a healthy adult.

Young girls 8-10 years old have an opportunity to join this phenomenal club that provide a safe, fun, playful learning environment that encourage young girls to feel better, think smarter, exercise more.
As the founder I’m confident that Lisa's Book/Fitness Club can inspire young girls ages 8-10 to grow into beautiful, smart and conquering women. I look forward to meeting you and your child at the first meeting.

Sincerely yours,
Ms. Felicite Ross
